U Of M Students Develop Smart Water Bottle
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – There's smartphones, smartwatches, smart TVs, so why not a smart water bottle?
Well, a group of University of Minnesota students have created just that. It's called 'Hidrate Me.'
It's a plastic, reusable, 24-ounce bottle with a sensor inside that automatically tracks how much you drink throughout the day.
That sensor sends information to your smartphone which tracks how much water you're drinking, and then the bottle glows when it's time to drink more.
The group went to Kickstarter hoping to get $35,000 to produce the smart water bottle. As of Wednesday morning, they've raised over $60,000.
