U Of M Prepares To Move Dioramas From Bell Museum
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Bell Museum of Natural History at the University of Minnesota is getting ready to move.
The museum is moving its famous dioramas from the 140-year-old building, that is closing, to its future home on the St. Paul campus.
The first step in the process is removing the glass, for the first time in 10 years, to photograph and preserve the historic dioramas.
The legislature voted to fund a new $51 million Bell Museum on that university's St. Paul Campus.
However, it won't be ready for the dioramas to move there for at least a year.
