U Of M Extends Tuition Freeze
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The University of Minnesota announced there will be no increase in the cost for classes for the following school year.
The Board of Regents approved to extend the tuition freeze for the 2014-2015 school year as part of an agreement that was made with Minnesota lawmakers last year.
The school got $42 million in exchange for holding undergraduate tuition steady.
Currently at the Twin Cities campus, in-state tuition is just over $12,000 a year.
It's slightly less than that in greater Minnesota.
