U Of M Clean Energy Resource Team Awards Grants To 39 Projects Across Minn.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Clean Energy Resource Teams based at the University of Minnesota are awarding seed grants to 39 renewable energy and energy efficiency projects across the state, from Grand Marais to Slayton and Rochester to Red Lake.
The group says the 39 projects received small grants across a broad spectrum of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. Many projects also include components of education, outreach, community-building and research.
CERTs says these awards mark its eighth round of seed grants, totaling over $1 million to 269 projects since 2006.
Clean Energy Resource Teams is a statewide partnership to connect individuals and communities with the resources they need for community-based clean energy projects.
