MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Vikings owners Zygi Wilf and Mark Wilf have given $5 million from their family foundation to fund education, communication and technology initiatives at an area children's hospital.
The gift was made in December 2013. It was announced Wednesday at an event at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.
The Wilf Family Center will include an auditorium to entertain patients and families, as well as conference rooms and the infrastructure for technological connections between both patients and medical staff and medical professionals sharing expertise and information around the world.
The Wilf Family Foundation began in 1964 and has donated more than $200 million to causes in education, health, human rights, the arts, sports and Holocaust remembrance.
