Airbnb Says Biggest Twin Cities Spike Is During Pride

 

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Airbnb released data that shows the largest local spike in home-sharing transactions happens during Twin Cities Pride.

The Pride festival is one of the nation's largest celebrations of LGBT visibility. Airbnb reported that the festival and its Sunday parade drew over 400,000 people to the cities.

The usage increase among the 800 Airbnb hosts in Minneapolis-St. Paul during Pride represented a 225 percent increase from an average day.

Overall, nearly 40,000 guests have stayed in the Twin Cities using Airbnb during the last year.
