Twin Cities Attorney Accused In W Hotel Stabbing
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Twin Cities personal injury attorney is accused of stabbing a bar patron with a steak knife at a downtown Minneapolis restaurant during an argument over a woman.
According to court documents, the incident happened at about 2 a.m. New Year's Day inside the W Hotel on the 800 block of Marquette Avenue. Investigators said Michael Riehm stabbed another man during a scuffle over his wife. Authorities said Riehm got into a shoving match with the victim after the man made a joke about Riehm's wife.
Security at the bar broke up the altercation, but authorities said Riehm later took a knife from the serving counter and stabbed the victim, causing his lung to collapse.
Riehm was in the Hennepin County Jail Friday night.
