Tuesday Sets New Attendance Record At State Fair

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A record number of people came to the Minnesota State Fair on Tuesday.

The fair reported that 133,595 people came through the gates on Tuesday, which is not puts them roughly 4,000 ahead of the previous Tuesday attendance record, it also tallies roughly 40,000 higher than Tuesday's attendance in 2013.

The previous Tuesday record was 129,423, which happened in 2009.

Following a Thursday and Friday with attendance levels below 2013, every subsequent day has seen higher attendance in 2014.
