Tow Truck Driver Struck & Killed On I-94 In Wis.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A tow truck driver was struck and killed Monday morning in Jackson County, Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the accident happened at about 8:25 a.m. on Interstate 94, five miles east of Osseo.

The victim was in the process of removing a disabled vehicle when he was hit by a passing truck.

The tow truck's emergency lights were engaged at the time of the accident, and the victim was wearing a reflective yellow jacket.

The driver, who also struck the tow truck before stopping, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating.
