Top 5 Worst Super Bowl Halftime Shows
1) Gloria Estefan, Brian Boitano, Dorothy Hammill and a Salute To The 'Miracle On Ice' Team (1992)
The halftime extravaganza "Winter Magic" at the Metrodome was so painful that the NFL decided to cough up some major bread in 1993 to bring in Michael Jackson -- ushering in the modern era of the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Between the "Frosty the Snowman" rap and Brian Boitano being paraded around on a snowmobile, the funniest moment is perhaps this telling line in the show's theme tune: "We're trying with all our might." Gloria Estefan did well, though, despite being violently out of place.

2) The Blues Brothers, James Brown, Z.Z. Top (1997)
It's always fun to hang out with your drunken uncles … until one of them starts singing and trying to do flips. There are two big takeaways from this halftime show: 1) John Belushi cannot be replaced, even if one of those replacements is John Goodman. 2) If you put James Brown in a cherry picker, he should automatically get top billing.
3) Janet Jackson, P. Diddy, Nelly, Kid Rock, Justin Timberlake (2004)
This is by far the most shocking, most tasteless, most shameful chapter in the hallowed, honorable history of the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Whose decision was it to let that boob Kid Rock have airtime?

4) Black Eyed Peas, Slash, Usher (2011)
"I Got A Feeling" … that tonight's gonna be a bad night for pop music and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Everyone gets really happy when Slash shows up, then Fergie starts doing her Axl Rose impression, and the entire world cringes.
5) Disney & New Kids On The Block (1991)
Disney can sure make one creepy halftime show. Mickey Mouse sings a very quick rendition of "We Are The World" with a chorus of thousands of children, then they drop in New Kids On The Block "to honor our armed forces' children" by singing "Step By Step." Nothing sets the minds of military parents at ease then the prospect of young Donnie Wahlberg looking after the little ones.
