Tingelhoff Joins Teammate Tarkenton In Hall Of Fame

CANTON, Ohio (AP) — Mick Tingelhoff spent most of his 17-year career snapping the ball to Fran Tarkenton.

On Saturday night, Tarkenton returned the favor. The Hall of Fame quarterback presented Tingelhoff for induction as a member of the Class of 2015.

The 75-year-old Tingelhoff played on four Super Bowl teams for the Vikings in the 1970s and was one of the most durable players of his era. Tingelhoff made the Vikings as a free agent and didn't miss a game during his career, making 240 straight starts. Tingelhoff is the 14th center to make the Hall and the first to be inducted since Dermontti Dawson in 2012.
