Severe Thunderstorms Roll Through Southwestern Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Severe weather moved through southwestern Minnesota, and a severe thunderstorm watch remained in effect through Friday evening.

The storms brought high winds in the southwestern part of the state, with some gusts up to 60 mph in the Marshall area. There were some reports of downed trees and hail.

Several counties remained under a thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. Those counties included Blue Earth, Kandiyohi, Carver, Le Sueur, Nicollet, Pipestone and surrounding counties.
