'The Beatles' Exhibit Coming To Mall Of America
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) – The legacy left by The Beatles is living on right in the heart of the Twin Cities starting this week and hanging around for most of the summer.
Officials announced Tuesday that "The Beatles!," a traveling exhibition put together by the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, will be making a stop at the Mall of America. The exhibit will be at the Midwest Music Museum at the mall starting Thursday and running through Sept. 14. It debuted at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts back in February.
The exhibition takes an in-depth look at The Beatles' impact on the American Experience from a fan's perspective. There will be many items on display, including original memorabilia, records, pictures, tour artifacts and videos. The Grammy Museum is also providing Beatles-related content and program to local students.
Officials said daily capacity for the exhibition is limited, so those interested should purchase tickets ahead of time at the Midwest Music Museum web site. It's a 13-week exhibit, running from June 5 to Sept. 7. The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for youth ages 6 to 17, $6.50 for seniors, $6 for military, $6.50 for students 18 and older and free for kids 5 years and younger.
