2 youths in custody after 18-year-old shot in Robbinsdale

ROBBINSDALE, Minn. -- An 18-year-old man is fighting for his life after a shooting on Memorial Day in the north metro.

Robbinsdale police were called Monday to the 3300 block of Grimes Avenue North just after 1 p.m. They found the victim, who "had no pulse and no respirations." 

He was rushed to North Memorial Health, where he is in critical condition as of late Monday evening.

Officers from both Robbinsdale and neighboring Crystal tracked down the suspect's vehicle and arrested two youths. A firearm was also found in the car.

The suspects are being held in the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center. Police are still investigating.

UPDATE: Police confirmed that the victim died at the hospital on June 1. Charges have been filed against one person in connection to the shooting.
