Twin Cities Black Lives Matter Leader Running For State Legislature

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man who helped organize Black Lives Matter protests at the Minnesota State Fair and the Twin Cities Marathon is now running for office.
Rashad Turner announced his candidacy Saturday for the state legislature.
He is the leader of Black Lives Matter - St. Paul, and he will be trying to unseat Rena Moran -- the only black member of the House of Representatives.
Turner says he will be focusing on social justice and criminal justice reform during his campaign.
