Target Agrees To $4M Settlement For Inaccurate Pricing

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Target has agreed to pay nearly $4 million to settle a lawsuit that claims the retailer charged higher prices than advertised.

The suit, filed by prosecutors in California, claims Target also misrepresented the weights of products and that it didn't check the accuracy of its price scanners.

A Target representative says some of the problems stemmed from promotional signs not being removed immediately after a promotion ended.

They added that the company has taken steps to fix the problems, including adding more price-accuracy audits at stores.
