State Patrol Seeking Vehicle That May Have Struck Woman Who Fell Off Motorcycle

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are asking the public's help finding a vehicle they believe struck a woman who died after falling off a motorcycle in Forest Lake earlier this month.

Ena Bhatia, 21, was killed when she fell off a motorcycle just after 4:40 a.m. Nov. 18 on Interstate 35 between the Highway 97 and Broadway Avenue exits.

The driver of the motorcycle, 23-year-old Myles Eckman, fled, but was later located.

Authorities believe a 2002-2006 Honda CRV was in the area of the crash at the time and may have struck Bhatia.

The driver may have been unaware they struck her, State Patrol said. Bhatia was wearing brown Carhartt clothing and some witnesses said a deer was in the road at the time.

Anyone with information about the incident or the CRV should call Minnesota State Patrol at 651-582-1509.
