Study: 1/3 Of Minnesotans Lack Access To Healthy Foods
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- About 30 percent of Minnesotans do not have sufficient access to healthy foods, according to a joint study by Wilder Research and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
The results of the study indicate that about 1.6 million Minnesotans are not in close proximity to full-service grocery stores.
Minnesota ranks in the top ten of states with the largest amount of residents with low-retail access.
