Patrol: 1 Dies After Semi Broadsides Pickup Near St. Cloud
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The State Patrol says a driver of a pickup truck died Tuesday night near St. Cloud after being broadsided by a semi when trying to cross Highway 23.
The crash happened shortly before 5:50 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 23 and Interstate 94.
The driver of the pickup, a Dodge Dakota, tried to cross the highway from the westbound exit of I-94, the patrol said. A semi traveling east collided with the truck, and its driver suffered fatal injuries.
The name of the deceased will be released Wednesday, along with the name of the semi driver.
The crash remains under investigation.
