State Patrol: Car Loses Control On Icy Road, Strikes Semi In Fatal Cottonwood Co. Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Cottonwood County Monday morning.
According to the state patrol, a Ford Focus was traveling northbound on Highway 71 north of Windom when it lost control and slid into the southbound lane. That's when a semi traveling the opposite direction struck the car.
The driver of the Ford Focus was killed. He or she has not been identified.
The driver of the semi was unharmed. He is identified as 29-year-old Daniel Kronbach of Lamberton, Minnesota.
The state patrol says the road conditions were icy at the time.
