State Patrol: Brainerd Man Killed In Head-On Collision

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Brainerd man died early Monday morning in a head-on crash involving as many as three vehicles in Crow wing County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities responded to the crash at about 1:40 a.m. on Highway 210. The State Patrol says a 1995 Chevy Truck was heading westbound on Highway 210 when it crossed the center line and hit a semi-truck head-on. The Chevy truck went into the ditch and rolled.

The driver of the Chevy Truck, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified. The driver of the semi-truck, a 58-year-old man from Superior, Wis., suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

What led up to the crash remains under investigation by the State Patrol, with assistance from the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office.
