State Patrol: 1 Dead In Stearns County Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 31-year-old Monticello woman was killed Thursday night in a one-vehicle crash near St. Cloud, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities responded at about 7:34 p.m. to the area of eastbound Interstate 94 and soutbound Highway 15 on a report of a crash. When officers arrived, A 2003 Oldsmobile Alero was heading on the ramp from Highway 15 to I-94 near the County Road 74 overpass when it drifted off the road to the right, veered into the left shoulder hitting the guardrail and overpass pillar and then veered off the road to the right.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified as Renee Ma Hallberg of Monticello. The State Patrol said she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, St. Cloud Police and St. Cloud Fire and Gold Cross.
