St. Paul Police: Missing Boy Found; No Criminal Action Took Place

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- St. Paul police say no criminal action took place in the disappearance of a boy, who was found Thursday evening.

According to police, the boy disappeared after fishing at Beaver Lake Wednesday. He was supposed to be home at 7 p.m., but never made it. He was last seen earlier that afternoon.

Around 10 p.m. Thursday, nearly 24 hours after the boy was reported missing by the police, he was found OK in a van near 2250 Maryland Avenue East.

At that time, the owner of the van -- a man identified as Robert Lee Krier -- was taken into custody.

Police say that after the man and child were interviewed it was determined no criminal action took place. Krier was released and the van, which was impounded, was returned to him.
