No arrests have been made.

"We will be using every resource we can to try to determine who is responsible for this crime," Sgt. Mike Ernster with SPPD said.

This was the city's 11th homicide of the year. Ernster said shots fired reports, shooting victims and homicides are all down compared to this time last year, though some recent shootings have been alarming in their recklessness.

"There have been some shootings recently that have been concerning in the sense that there's been a large number of actual shots that are being fired at these scenes," he said. "We're recovering tens of casings at scenes. Homes, vehicles are being hit."

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the St. Paul Police Department.
