St. Paul police investigating double homicide on Minnehaha Avenue East
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Paul police say two people were fatally shot on the 1400 block of Minnehaha Avenue East Tuesday morning.
According to police, officers were called to an apartment complex at 5:43 a.m. on the report of someone shot.
When officers arrived, they found a woman shot inside an apartment. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
While the crime scene was being secured, police say a second victim - only identified as a male - was found outside behind the building with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a motive has not been determined nor any arrests made. A connection between the two victims has also not been determined. The deaths are the 11th and 12th homicide of the year in St. Paul.
"Investigators with the police department's homicide unit will be interviewing witnesses to understand what occurred and who is responsible for both deaths," police said in a statement. "The forensic services and video management units are processing the scene for evidence to tell a story of what occurred."
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner will be identifying the victims and determining cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
