ST. PAUL, Minn. — Police are searching for the shooter who killed a man early Monday morning in St. Paul's West Side neighborhood.

"Solid, working-class neighborhood with great people in it. They were surprised to hear a death happened there," Ernster said.

Ernster says it's too early to tell if this was connected to other shootings in the city. Investigators are looking for witnesses and surveillance camera footage in the area.

Police say this is St. Paul's 29th homicide of 2023.
