St. Paul Man Pleads Guilty To Sex Trafficking A Minor
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 25-year-old St. Paul man pleaded guilty Friday to one count of sex trafficking a minor.
Dontre McHenry is accused of recruiting and trafficking teenage girls throughout Minnesota, according to U.S. Attorney Andrew Lugar.
McHenry is suspected of coercing at least three girls under the age of 18 between January 2013 and March 2014.
He used Backpage.com to advertise the girls, as well as chatrooms. He also made a sexually-explicit video of one of his victims for promotional purposes, who was 15 at the time.
He is accused of instructing his victims in how to find "Johns," how to set up dates and how much to charge them.
McHenry then would receive all of the money the girls would make.
Investigators executed a search warrant in March at a Roseville motel where McHenry and his victims stayed. They found evidence including a book called "Pimpology: The 48 Laws of the Game," and handwritten notes referencing prostitution, trafficking and coercing minors.
Photos of his victims in their underwear were also found on McHenry's phone, as well as several text messages from customers.
McHenry's sentencing date has not been set.
