St. Paul H.S. Celebrates Black History Month With 'The Sounds Of Color'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Despite some rough patches this past year, the students at St. Paul's central High School are creating a positive and inspirational culture.
Students hosted the first-ever Black History Month showcase Wednesday night. It was called, "The Sounds of Color."
The Pan-African Student Union at Central worked for two months to put this together. It featured all kinds of talented young people.
"Our Pan-African students who have come together in unity to celebrate each other, celebrate the revolution, celebrate everything they have to offer this world, and I am so very proud of them," Kimberly Colbert, a Central High School teacher, said.
Central High School has been through a lot over the past year, with a cafeteria fight and other negative headlines, but students wanted to show there are plenty of positive things happening there as well.
