Clerk Injured In St. Cloud Super America Armed Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An armed robbery at a St. Cloud Super America left a store clerk with minor injuries Wednesday night, according to a report from St. Cloud Police.

The Department says it happened at the station on the 700 block of 33rd Avenue North at around 8 p.m. Investigating officers determined the suspect confronted the clerk with a knife and demanded money. A short struggle ensued and the clerk was struck in the head, police say.

The suspect -- described as a black male in his mid-20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender build and a thin mustache -- made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. A K9 unit attempted to track the suspect, but was unsuccessful.

Anyone with information should call St. Cloud Police at 320-251-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 320-255-1301.
