St. Cloud Police Seek Suspects Who Stole $4,300 In Cigarettes
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The St. Cloud Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a number of men who are believed to be involved in two separate thefts of cigarettes.
According to the St. Cloud Police Department, on December 18 at 2:41 a.m. officers responded to a call of a theft at the Cash Wise East, located in the 1000 block of 4th Street Southeast.
Upon arrival, officers learned that two males jumped over the counter while two other males watched for employees.
The two males stole several cartons of various brands of cigarettes, totaling roughly $2,700.
Police said the suspects fled before officers arrived.
Less than three weeks later on January 6, just after 4 a.m. police responded to another report of a theft of cigarettes at Coborn's, located in the 900 block of Cooper Avenue South.
Police said during this theft only one male suspect went behind the counter while three other males watched for employees.
Once again, the suspect stole several cartons of various brands of cigarettes. This theft totaled about $1,600.
Police said the suspects fled prior officers' arrival.
In all, both thefts totaled $4,300.
