MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man who was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in south Minneapolis Saturday has died, according to police.
The 37-year-old victim, whom police have not identified, was struck just after 11 p.m. on the 2900 block of Portland Avenue South. He died around 4 p.m. Monday, police said.
Monday, the Minneapolis Police Department identified the 20-year-old suspect as Tristen Baier, who is still in custody on probable cause first degree assault charges. Police said he is awaiting additional charges now that the victim has died.
