Slain Minneapolis Executive Laid To Rest
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The family and friends of a man gunned down at an Arden Hills gas station are remembering him as a kind, selfless man.
Kelly Phillips, 48, was buried Saturday morning in his hometown of Mason City, Iowa.
Phillips was an executive at Boston Scientific, and he also owned Lush Food Bar in northeast Minneapolis, which is celebrating its five-year anniversary this weekend.
He was planning to marry his partner, Nathon Bailey, in two weeks.
A nationwide warrant has been issued for Phillip's ex-boyfriend, 44-year-old Lyle "Ty" Hoffman, who faces second-degree murder charges.
Friday, authorities said they believe someone may be helping Hoffman stay on the run, which is a felony that's punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
There's a $1,000 reward for information leading to Hoffman's arrest.
