Six Pounds Of Marijuana Seized At Wisconsin College
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Stout was arrested after the largest drug bust in the school's history.
Police seized more than six pounds of marijuana, marijuana-based candy, $5,200 in cash and other controlled substances.
Twenty-one-year-old Joshua M. Schuster, of Ellsworth, is being held in the Dunn County Jail.
It's the largest drug seizure in the history of the UW-Stout Police Department, chief Lisa Walter said.
Schuster faces a number of potential charges, including delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and maintaining a drug house.
The UW-Stout Police Department received a search warrant for Schuster's off-campus apartment on the 2400 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast.
UW-Stout Chancellor Bob Meyer congratulated the police department on the bust.
"[I] hope it sends a strong message about our commitment to maintaining a safe campus environment," he said in a statement.
The Menomonie Police Department and members of the West Central Drug Task Force assisted in the search and arrest.
