Sheriff: Man Arrested After Firing Shots While Leaving Zorbaz

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in central Minnesota say a man is being held in jail on DWI and assault charges after allegedly firing shots into the air while driving out of a Zorbaz parking lot.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office says the shooting happened in Spicer early Sunday morning, shortly after bar close. Bouncers and witnesses told police that a man displayed a gun and then fired several shots as he left the lakeside bar's parking lot.

Not long after, deputies found the man a few miles south of Spicer with two weapons in his vehicle. While the man's name was not released, officials say he is a 38-year-old man from Lake Lillian.

The man is being held in Kandiyohi County Jail, pending formal charges, which are expected during the workweek.
