Sheriff: Bicyclist Killed In Ham Lake

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A female bicyclist was struck by two cars and killed in Ham Lake Wednesday evening, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say that several 911 callers reported the incident at 10:52 p.m., saying multiple vehicles and a pedestrian were involved. It happened in the area of 157th Avenue and Highway 65 NE in Ham Lake.

When deputies arrived, they found a single female victim on Highway 65 NE. Despite lifesaving efforts, she was determined deceased at the scene.

Authorities said the victim was a 49-year-old woman from Ham Lake. She was identified as Tina Lyn Osgood.

Officials say the bicyclist was riding in the middle lanes of travel going northbound on Highway 65. She was wearing dark clothing and had no lights or reflectors on her bike.

There were two vehicles involved in the incident. The drivers were a 64-year-old man from Grasston and a 20-year-old woman from Ham Lake. Neither was hurt in the collision.

The incident remains under investigation.
