Sheriff: 3-Year-Old Found Underneath Child-Sized ATV Dies
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An investigation is underway after a 3-year-old died in a child-sized ATV accident Sunday, according to the Chisago County Sheriff's Office.
On April 5 at 4:06 p.m., the sheriff's office was alerted to a 3-year-old involved in an ATV accident on the 26000 block of Olympic Trail in Franconia Township.
After responding, authorities learned that the 3-year-old had been taken by family members to the Osceola hospital. The incident was not witnessed, but it appeared the child was found under the ATV.
The child was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Details are limited. The sheriff's office and the Midwest Medical Examiner are investigating.
