Sheriff: 2 Lakeville H.S. Students Killed, 2 Injured In Rollover Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two Lakeville High School students are dead and two other students are injured after a rollover crash in Lakeville Friday afternoon -- exactly two years to the day that a fellow student was killed on a slippery road.

Dakota County Sheriff Tim Leslie said the fatal accident happened at about 3 p.m. on 225th Street West, just west of Dodd Road.

A passerby saw an overturned truck and a passenger walking around nearby and called 911.

Investigators from the sheriff's office and the Minnesota State Patrol found Lakeville juniors Jake Flynn and Johnny Price dead on the roadway.

Two other teen boys survived. One of them was seriously injured and was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. The other survivor, Mason Kohlbeck, was able to walk and talk at the scene and was taken to HCMC via ambulance.

The Lakeville Panther Football team's Twitter account released this message Friday evening:

Lakeville Area Public Schools tweeted out this message about 30 minutes later:

The school district cancelled all after-school activities and athletic events after the news broke.

The crash is under investigation.
