Sheriff: 2 Hurt In Douglas County Motorcycle Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said two people were seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash early Saturday night in northwestern Minnesota.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a report of a motorcycle crash at about 4:38 p.m. on County Road 5 west of Silver Lane NW. When officers arrived, a motorcycle carrying two people was heading west on County Road 5 when it lost control and crashed into the ditch.

The driver of the motorcycle and a passenger were both ejected from the vehicle as it went into the ditch, authorities said. Both victims were taken by ambulance to the Douglas County Hospital.

Authorities said the victims were a 35-year-old man and 32-year-old woman, both from Wendell, Minn. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol, Millerville First Responders and North Ambulance.
