3 Men Charged With Prostitution, Sexual Assault Of 14-Year-Old Girl

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Three Minnesota men are accused of selling cigarettes to a 14-year-old girl in exchange for sex.

Deandre Boyd, 21, of St. Louis Park, 26-year-old Erwin Kruk and Jammie Lee, 44, of Minnetonka are facing criminal sexual conduct and prostitution charges.

According to the Hennepin County Attorney's office, Boyd, Lee and Kruk worked at the Freedom Gas Station in Minnetonka. In December, the young girl came in wanting to buy cigarettes. Prosecutors say Boyd knew she was underage, but told her they would sell it to her in exchange for sexual favors.

"Sex-trafficking ranges from organized rings to the kind of activities we have charged here," Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said. "In this case, we are alleging that Mr. Boyd took advantage of a young girl and her desire for cigarettes in order to have sexual contacts and then helped his friends do the same. We are using new resources from the Hennepin County Board to crack down on these kinds of crimes."

According to the criminal complaint, she returned to the store two more times, and similar incidents occurred -- once with Lee, Kruk and once more with Boyd.

Kruk was arrested Thursday evening and remains in custody, along with Lee. Boyd has been released and is scheduled to have his next court appearance on May 8.

If convicted, Boyd could face 45 years in prison, Kruk could face 35 and Lee could face 25.
