Seven Departments Respond To Shakopee Building Fire
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Dozens of firefighters spent the night battling a fire in Shakopee.
The fire was in a commercial building on County Road 101 that houses four businesses.
Firefighters from seven departments were called to the scene. They kept the flames contained to just one of the businesses, called Architectural Coating.
"It was very smoky inside that building," said Shakopee fire chief Rick Coleman. "Heavy black smoke...zero [visibility] inside. Another challenge out here was that our hydrant was a long ways away."
The fire remains under investigation.
