Search Continues For Missing Le Sueur Woman, 20

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The search continues for a woman who disappeared while drinking on a camping trip.

Police in Le Sueur say 20-year-old Moriah Zwart and a friend were camping on a sandbar along the Minnesota River Thursday night, just a half-mile downstream from where her parents live in Le Sueur.

The friend said Friday morning they couldn't find her and walked back to Zwart's parent's house.

More than 60 emergency responders searched the area for Zwart yesterday and a State Patrol helicopter also could not spot her from the air.

The sheriff's office is now using boats to search the Minnesota River. They say it's difficult because of the fast current and debris in the water.

Investigators do not think there's anything suspicious about Zwart's disappearance.

A vigil has been set for 8:30 p.m. Monday at American Legion Park in Le Sueur to pray for Zwart's safe return. Those who attend are encouraged to wear purple as it's her favorite color.
