14 fire crews battle raging house fire near Jordan

SAN FRANCISCO TOWNSHIP, Minn. – It took 14 fire crews to tackle some huge flames Sunday night southwest of the Twin Cities.

A fire broke out in a home in San Francisco Township, near Jordan in Carver County.

The Carver Fire Department says two people were at home when the fire started. Since the home is in a rural area, crews needed to haul water in from elsewhere. 

Besides CFD, the other crews that assisted were from Belle Plaine, Chanhassen, Chaska, Cologne, Jordan, Mayer, Minnetonka, New Germany, Norwood Young America, Shakopee, Victoria, Waconia and Watertown. 

No one was hurt, and the cause is still under investigation.
