Reward Offered For Info On Armed Uptown Bank Robber

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The FBI says it's offering a reward for information on a man who robbed a bank with a gun in the heart of Uptown.

The robbery happened Wednesday just before 6 p.m. at the TCF Bank on 1444 West Lake Street. Authorities say the robber demanded cash from the teller and displayed a black handgun.

The robber reportedly had a distinctly British accent. He fled from the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities described the robber as being about 45-50 years old, standing 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighing about 160-175 pounds.

He wore a puffy navy blue coat, blue jeans, a black neck gator and a red stripped winter cap with a fluffy ball on top.

Anyone with information on the robber is asked to call the FBI at 763-569-8000 or Minneapolis police at 612-692-8477.

Authorities did not disclose the amount of the monetary reward.
