Retired Ramsey Co. Sheriff's Deputy Under Investigation For Missing Evidence
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A retired Ramsey County Sheriff's deputy is being investigated after pieces of evidence from some of his cases were found to be missing.
The Ramsey County Sheriff's office says retired Deputy Thomas Rudenick is being investigated after inconsistencies in some of his property records become apparent while his remaining cases were being closed out.
Rudenick retired from duty at the end of January after 25 years of service. He was awarded two medals of commendation during his career.
His case is being handled by the Washington County Sheriff's office to help ensure an unbiased investigation.
He has not been formally charged with any crime.
