Report: Vikings May Move Winter Park To Chanhassen
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One of the most recognizable buildings in Eden Prairie is the big Viking ship that sits outside the Minnesota Vikings' training facilities, but it may soon be moving.
The Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal reports the team is thinking about moving Winter Park to Chanhassen.
Relocating would give the Vikings a chance to consolidate all their scattered offices. Right now, team staffers work between Winter Park, an office across the street and another office in downtown Minneapolis.
The Journal reports the team is eyeing a property in Chanhassen near Hazeltine National Golf Club.
Another option would be to do a complete overhaul of Winter Park, which has been the Vikings' home for 34 years.
