Renaissance Festival Honors Teens Killed In Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is paying tribute to two teenage workers who died in a car crash over the weekend.
Monday night, organizers held a cannon salute in memory of Taylor Wieland and Cheyenne Mikkelson. The best friends, both 17 years old, were killed when the car they were in crashed into a tree in Shakopee.
It happened on a road leading into the Renaissance festival just before they were to report to work.
GoFundMe accounts have been set up to help their families with funeral expenses. You can find them here and here.
