Body Of Red River Drowning Victim ID'd

WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) — Authorities have identified a man who drowned in the Red River in Wahpeton as a State College of Science student.

Twenty-year-old David Leinen, of Selfridge, was swimming with four other people Friday night when he experienced some sort of problem and called for help. The others were unable to rescue him.

Police say a rescue diver recovered Leinen's body in about 8 feet of water. An autopsy is planned.
