Red Cross Seeking More Donations

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Calling all donors! The Red Cross needs your help.

This time of year, the Red Cross' supply of blood and platelet donations tends to drop. They said people's busy schedules during the holidays led to fewer blood drives across the country and 50,000 fewer donations.

So, they are calling for more donors.

Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.

Appointments can be made by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or going online.
