Red Cross Hosts First Ever 'Giving Day'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – We Minnesotans are some of the most generous people in the country.
So, let's put that skill to work!
The American Red Cross is launching its first ever Giving Day.
On Tuesday, they're asking everyone in Minnesota to make a donation to help those in need in our community.
The Red Cross organizes blood drives and gives food and shelter to those who have been displaced after a fire or flood.
Not only does the money help here at home, but, right now, Minnesota volunteers and local Red Cross money is being used to help people in parts of flood-ravaged Texas and Oklahoma.
