Patrol: Pursuit In Rochester Leads To Crash, 2 Injured

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says a vehicle pursuit led to a three-vehicle crash with injuries in Rochester Monday afternoon.

According to the state patrol, the incident happened at 14th Street Northwest and 5th Avenue Northwest shortly after 1:30 p.m.

A Chevy Cobalt was being pursued by law enforcement when it struck an occupied Honda Pilot and continued on, striking an unoccupied Dodge Charger. That's where the pursuit ended.

The driver of the Cobalt, identified as 28-year-old Edgar Barrientos of Texas, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Pilot, 68-year-old Frances Tocko of St. Charles, Minnesota, also suffered non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in the same car suffered no apparent injury.

It is unclear if there was an arrest or if there will be any potential charges.
